A concealed Oricom UHF radio installation with a no-drill antenna bracket, plus a USB-powered DDPAI Z60 Pro front-and-rear dash cam, completed on a new 2026 Toyota HiLux in Melbourne.
This new HiLux came to our Oakleigh South workshop for two practical upgrades. The Oricom UHF main unit was hidden behind the factory trim, with concealed power and cabling and only the handpiece left within easy reach of the driver. Outside, the antenna bracket uses an original vehicle mounting point rather than a newly drilled hole, and the coaxial cable passes through the firewall into the cabin. The DDPAI Z60 Pro front and rear cameras use USB power, with their wiring secured behind the interior trim and routed through the A-pillar clear of the curtain airbag deployment path.

The Oricom UHF main unit was installed out of sight, with its power supply and cabling concealed behind the factory trim. Only the handpiece remains visible, mounted beside the steering column so it is easy for the driver to reach without leaving a loose radio or wiring across the cabin.

The UHF antenna bracket is secured to an original HiLux mounting point, so no new hole was drilled into the vehicle body. The antenna sits at the edge of the bonnet, while its coaxial cable is routed through the firewall and into the cabin for connection to the hidden main unit.

The DDPAI Z60 Pro was installed as a front-and-rear camera system using USB power. The front unit sits high on the windscreen and the rear camera is positioned at the top of the rear glass, giving both cameras a clear view without leaving charging cables hanging through the cabin.

The A-pillar trim was removed so the dash cam cable could be routed clear of the curtain airbag deployment path. The cable was secured behind the trim rather than left loose across the airbag area, then continued through the interior trim to the rear camera.
