Apple CarPlay and a reverse camera in a 2009 Toyota Corolla

The factory radio in a 2009 Toyota Corolla replaced with a touchscreen head unit running Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a reverse camera with guidelines, at our Oakleigh South workshop in Melbourne. $600 fitted all up on a Japanese car like this.

The Corolla came in with its factory radio and no screen. The new head unit fits the factory opening with a dash kit made for the car, so the silver surround, the hazard switch, the vents and the climate knobs are untouched. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come up when a phone is connected, and when the car goes into reverse the screen switches to the camera with parking guidelines. On a Japanese car like this, CarPlay is $450 and the camera $150, $600 all up, and a CarPlay and camera fit takes about three and a half hours in the workshop. All work is backed by a one-year warranty on parts and installation.
