A 70mai A810 4K HDR front-and-rear dash cam and hardwire kit installed in a Toyota Yaris, with both camera views tested at our Oakleigh South workshop.
This Toyota Yaris received a 70mai A810 front-and-rear dash cam set with the matching hardwire kit. The main camera was mounted at the top of the windscreen, close to the mirror and outside the driver's primary view. Its power and rear-camera cables were tucked behind the headliner and factory trim instead of hanging through the cabin. The rear camera was fixed to the inside of the rear glass and aimed for a clear rearward view, then both feeds were confirmed on the A810 display before handover.

The 70mai A810 was positioned high on the Yaris windscreen so its 4K HDR front lens has an unobstructed view of the road. The screen remains visible from the passenger side for setup and playback without placing the camera in the centre of the driver's sightline.

The supplied 70mai hardwire kit gives the camera a concealed vehicle-power connection and is the required hardware for the A810's supported parking-surveillance functions. Parking features still depend on the selected camera settings and vehicle use.

The rear camera was attached to the inside of the Yaris rear window and its lead was routed behind the surrounding trim. The cable path was secured so the camera stays aimed correctly and there is no long cable left loose across the interior.

The front and rear live views, recording status and camera angles were checked after the trim was refitted. This final check confirms that both channels are connected and that the rear lens is not aimed into the parcel shelf or headlining.
